Brick House Farm.

At Brick House Farm, architect Annabel Brown has created a modern intervention that quietly unifies two period buildings. The new space β€” a calm, contemporary link β€” holds a kitchen, dining area, and informal seating zone, forming the heart of the home and allowing the building to flow as one.

Framed views connect the interior with the surrounding farmland, while generous glazing fills the space with natural light. Materials are warm and restrained, complementing the original structures without imitation. It’s a space designed for everyday living, but with a sense of openness and ease that feels timeless.

Photographed in soft, changing light, this series focuses on the subtle transitions between old and new β€” capturing not only architectural connection, but the atmosphere that emerges when a home is truly in balance.
